write yourself a letter
Who are you really, when everything's been stripped away?
Tell yourself in a letter that even through all of the different emotions present every waking moment, you're selfish and inconsiderate underneath.
But you really aren't, Ronn. You're sensitive and immensely empathetic. It's what you do with what you've observed that makes you the person you think you are. You're quite observant, but everything that you see and deduct from your surroundings creates an image in your head that causes you to be judgmental and presumptuous sometimes. It's not always a bad thing -- you are a good judge of character, I have to say -- but it creates an awkward atmosphere for the moment that isn't easy to ignore.
How do you change that about yourself? You've notice how dependent you're becoming on others again. Don't let yourself fall into the mentality that others will take care of you because you're a good person -- it's not totally realistic in most cases and you're capable of surviving on your own. You KNOW this. Do what you used to do: don't ask for anything you can get yourself. Karma is a beautiful thing, and what you do will affect what happens next in your life. Let the Universe map out what it wants to happen in your life, and try not to interfere or reject what comes your way. It's hard to relinquish control, I know, but give it a try and see how it turns out. You have control over your destiny, but that doesn't mean there isn't something that will surprise you at some point. It could be an exciting adventure if you think about it.
